Standard AS/NZS5149 specifies requirements for the safety aspects, in terms of the design, construction, installation and inspection of refrigerating appliances, systems and ancillary equipment intended for use or installation in institutional, public assembly, residential, commercial and industrial occupancies.

John Greaves, BDT presenting an overview of the Heat pump and air conditioning requirements of AS/NZ5149 for flammable refrigerants.

Dave Nicholls, F.IRHACE, Realcold. Following on from this, presenting on refrigeration methodology of the standard.

Included in presentations is material from NZ EPA giving insight on what they are thinking with respect to our carbon emission reduction plan, as well as and presenting an overview of global trends / low GWP refrigerants taking us through to Carbon Zero 2050. Also included is discussion upon progress toward industry regulation.
